The Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has received a significant boost in its aerial reconnaissance capabilities with the deployment of the PD-2 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system. Donated by the Come Back Alive foundation, the PD-2 represents a critical advancement in Ukraine’s ability to gather vital intelligence and support ground operations.
Comprised of two UAVs, a self-sufficient ground control station housed in a highly mobile minivan, and advanced communication and electronic warfare countermeasures, the PD-2 is more than just a tactical drone. Its rapid deployment and relocation capabilities, enabled by the minivan platform, enhance operational flexibility and crew safety by minimizing vulnerability to enemy counterattacks.
