Lithuania has joined Germany’s initiative to enhance Ukraine’s air defense, announcing its plan to deliver six AMBER-1800 radar systems to Ukraine.
This development was discussed in Berlin during a meeting between German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and Lithuanian Defense Minister Laurynas Kasčiūnas.

Lithuania is participating in the Immediate Action on Air Defense (IAAD) initiative, launched by the Federal Ministry of Defense and Federal Foreign Office, which aims to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.
“The delivery of six AMBER-1800 radar systems is Lithuania’s contribution to saving lives in Ukraine. Thank you for your participation in our air defense initiative,” Boris Pistorius said.
The AMBER-1800 system provides automatic deployment on prepared sites and is designed for detection of air targets, determination of their coordinates and distribution of radar information to consumers. Transmitter and receiver of the radar are solid-state.
