The answer to this question can be found in The Washington Post article, speaking to the battalion commander of the 93rd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Bohdan Dmytruk.

So, according to him, after HIMARS had destroyed the enemy's ammunition depot in Izium, the number of shelling by russian artillery in their direction decreased by 10 times.

Dmytruk and his servicemen explain this by the fact that the occupiers are forced to use their ammunition more sparingly, and due to the fear that their firing will provoke even more accurate HIMARS shots at the positions.

"They have no idea where the HIMARS is," says Dmytruk. He confirms that the russians are already trying to place their ammunition depots in the deep rear, outside the zone of damage of the HIMARS missile system.

According to Dmytruk, the decrease in artillery shelling directly affected the number of killed and wounded in his battalion compared to when they were redeployed to this section of the front three months ago.

"Every week, we have about one serviceman who gets a concussion. Before the HIMARS strike, there were about two or three of them a day because of the intensity of shelling," he emphasizes.
