The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine continues to expand the combat use of ground-based robotic systems, which are being employed for both logistics and direct assault operations. Recent operations on the Toretsk and Pokrovsk axes in Donetsk region have shown the growing effectiveness of these systems, with up to 100 russian troops reportedly eliminated.
The nmanned ground vehicles were used by drone operators to carry out precise explosive deliveries directly to russian positions. These stealthy, small-profile vehicles, referred to as "couriers", successfully navigated enemy lines to carry out multiple strikes, resulting in high enemy casualties and destruction of fortified positions.

Footage released by the agency showcases both combat and logistical deployments of these robotic systems, underlining their increasing role on the modern battlefield. The video documents their use not only for attacks but also for resupply and evacuation under hostile conditions.
In a separate development, the Defense Intelligence operatives revealed an experimental UGV armed with an automatic grenade launcher. This prototype system is currently undergoing field adaptation to meet combat requirements, and it is designed to target enemy personnel sheltered in trenches and dugouts.
Beyond offensive operations, ground drones are proving invaluable in logistics. The Defense Intelligence units are now widely using these systems to evacuate damaged equipment and deliver critical supplies to frontline positions without endangering human lives. Their missions include the transport of ammunition, FPV drones, fuel, and food across hazardous terrain.
These logistical tasks are being actively conducted not only in Toretsk and Pokrovsk but also along the Kupiansk direction, another hot zone in the east of Ukraine. The ability of robotic systems to maneuver in high-risk areas offers a strategic advantage and preserves personnel strength in prolonged operations.
The use of unmanned ground platforms represents a broader trend within Ukraine’s military to innovate under pressure. By combining reconnaissance, assault, and supply functions into adaptable ground-based drones, the Defense Intelligence is creating a versatile toolkit that enhances survivability and lethality on the front lines.
As Defense Express previously reported, on July 17, fighters from the Freedom of russia Legion, a unit operating under the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, conducted a raid targeting russian National Guard forces near the village of Velyka Bilozerka in temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region.
