To confirm the strike, the brigade released video footage of the enemy missile being destroyed.

"Shooting down a cruise missile with an anti-aircraft gun that's older than your father is a combination of great luck and outstanding skill. During the enemy's latest air attack on the capital, the soldiers of our brigade's anti-aircraft missile and artillery battalion achieved this success," the statement reads.

As Defense Express previously reported, the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade has unveiled Prometheus, a unique ground-based robotic air defense system. It provides a safer, more efficient way for Ukrainian soldiers to counter air threats.

According to the brigade, such robotic systems are cheaper, simpler, and less conspicuous than traditional air defense platforms. This allows them to operate without risking soldiers' lives, representing a genuine breakthrough in safeguarding Ukraine's skies.
