Ukraine needs drones to inflict maximum losses on russian occupiers

There is publicly available video of how the Defense Forces of Ukraine effectively hit a house in one of the frontline areas where russian ZALA UAV operators were located.

It is noted that warriors of the 40th Reconnaissance Battalion, the 73rd Naval Center of the Special Operations Forces and the 32nd Artillery Brigade of Ukrainian Naval Forces were involved to eliminate occupiers. The used weapon was the US GLSDB precision-guided bomb fired from the M142 HIMARS SAM system.

A Ukrainian Shark UAV manufactured by Ukrspecsystems, a member of NAUDI (National Association of the Defense Industry), was used for target designation, monitoring and recording the results of the strike.

The Defense Forces of Ukraine often use Shark drones to launch precision missile strikes against the occupiers. These drones demonstrate their consistently high characteristics.

For instance, at the end of February 2024, Ukrainian warriors struck russian training ground in the temporarily occupied part of Kherson Oblast, using HIMARS system. Dozens of occupiers from the 810th Naval Infantry Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet as well as the 81st Self-Propelled Artillery Regiment were eliminated.

The Shark drone was also used to correct this strike, which was flying over the training ground during the attack. Although this area was theoretically tightly protected by air defense and electronic warfare.

With the lack of military aid from the United States, ammunition of any type for M142 HIMARS MLRS is becoming scarce. To use them as efficiently as possible in the current conditions, Ukraine needs to improve its own intelligence and target detection capabilities.

Against this backdrop, the characteristics of UAVs used by Ukrainian warriors to detect targets, adjust fire, and record strike results are of particular importance. Therefore, it turns out that Ukrainian-made UAVs become as important as missiles from the United States for the effective destruction of the russian occupiers.

Moreover, the developers of the Shark drone from Ukrspecsystems made efforts to make their development as resistant as possible to any russian influence.

Earlier Defense Express reported that sanctions had hit russian drones as well as Unmanned Systems company had failed state order for the Granat-4 systems.
