Ukrainian UAV Evades Missile Fire and Destroys Strela-10 System in Daring Kursk Operation (Video)

russian forces in the Kursk region attempted to intercept a Ukrainian reconnaissance drone - but failed. Operators of the 413th Raid Battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces, working in coordination with the Bumblebee unit of the 78th Separate Air Assault Regiment, executed a successful counterattack against a Strela-10 surface-to-air missile system

The encounter, recorded on video, showcases the skill and adaptability of Ukraine’s drone operators in a high-stakes battlefield scenario.

According to the military, russian troops detected the UAV and launched two missiles from the Strela-10 system in an attempt to neutralize it. However, the Ukrainian drone pilots expertly evaded both missiles, maintaining control of the drone under fire.

Following the failed interception, russian troops attempted to reposition the air defense system - but it was too late. An FPV drone, launched by Ukrainian forces, struck the Strela-10 directly, inflicting significant damage.

The Strela-10, a Soviet-era short-range air defense system. It remains in use to protect frontline units and critical infrastructure from close-range air attacks.

This engagement highlights the growing effectiveness of Ukraine’s unmanned aerial operations and the increasing vulnerability of legacy air defense systems on the modern battlefield.
