The russian army lost its next 240mm 2S4 Tyulpan self-propelled heavy mortar. The enemy vehicle was destroyed by the FPV drone operator of the "Asgard" group of the "Eyes" unit. Volunteer Serhiy Sternenko published a video about how the russian sample of weapons was disposed of.
It should be noted that the operator of the FPV drone actually made a sniper strike, aiming directly at the mortar's ammunition – one of the 240 mm round. As a result, a spectacular explosion occurred.

Such accuracy requires a high level of training of the operator, because mastering an FPV drone is much more difficult than, for example, the same quadcopter of the Mavic type. Training for operators of strike drones can last at least two to three weeks. Operators are subject to strict requirements and not everyone can successfully complete training.

According to Oryx, this the Tyulpan self-propelled heavy mortar model destroyed by the Ukrainian military was at least the 22nd vehicle that the russian occupation forces lost since February 2022. Almost all of these self-propelled mortars (21 units) were destroyed, one more was damaged.
It will be recalled that earlier Defense Express reported that the russians announced a plan to form 5 heavy artillery brigades, which should be armed with heavy artillery systems such as 2S7 Pion, 2S7M Malka as well as 2S4 Tyulpan.

Currently, the first such brigade is being formed in the russian federation, the equipment for which will be taken from storage bases.
