Agents of the Atesh partisan movement conducted reconnaissance at the Petrov Val railway hub in russia's Volgograd Region. The transport hub, located at the junction of the Saratov–Volgograd and Tambov–Kamyshin railway lines, has its own locomotive depot. This is reported on the movement's official Telegram channel.
Frequent stops by oil and fuel tank cars were observed. It is reported that fuel is being stockpiled along transit routes and subsequently distributed further south to support russian military logistics.

The Petrov Val railway hub is located on the main route connecting Kuzbass to the Azov–Black Sea basin. It is one of russia's busiest freight corridors, with dozens of trains carrying coal, metals, and petroleum products passing through daily.
The line is double-tracked and electrified, giving it high capacity used by russian forces for military logistics to the south. The depot at the hub handles locomotive changes and repairs. A delay here can bring traffic to a standstill across the entire section.

"The hub is operating normally, with no visible signs of increased security measures. russian forces consider the Volga region's rear infrastructure to be outside the risk zone. All collected data has been passed to the Defense Forces of Ukraine," the statement reads.
Earlier Defense Express reported that Ukraine's Chornyi Lis Brigade had destroyed key russian 5N63S air defense radar.
