Operators from Ukraine's Mara Battalion used just two FPV drones to destroy two russian counter-UAV systems valued at more than 40 million rubles

Operators from the Mara Battalion of Ukraine's 66th Brigade have destroyed two high-value russian counter-drone systems using just two FPV drones. According to the brigade, the strike inflicted losses exceeding 40 million rubles (524 thousand dollars).

Video released by the 66th Brigade shows the precision strikes carried out by the battalion's drone operators. The engagement highlights how relatively inexpensive FPV drones continue to neutralize sophisticated russian battlefield assets designed to counter Ukraine's expanding drone fleet.

One of the destroyed systems was the Stupor Shkval V2, a stationary optical detection device developed to automatically detect, identify, and track unmanned aerial vehicles. Ukrainian officials estimate the system's value at approximately 7.85 million rubles.

The second target was the BUG-02S, a more advanced counter-UAV system used to monitor airspace, detect low-flying drones, determine their coordinates, and track their movement. According to the brigade, the radar is valued at roughly 32.58 million rubles, making it one of the more expensive pieces of equipment eliminated during the operation.

Together, the destruction of the two systems represents estimated losses of more than 40 million rubles for russian forces.

Both systems were specifically intended to provide early warning against incoming Ukrainian drones, helping russian forces detect and intercept unmanned aircraft before they reached their targets.
