The most advanced of russian tanks turned out vulnerable to air-delivered grenades

Air reconnaissance troops of the National Guard of Ukraine have put out of order one more T-90M Proryv main battle tank during the battles on Ukrainian frontlines, the footage has been published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

One of the most modern tanks of the russian military industry was bombed with grenades, adjusted so that a drone can carry and drop them on top of a target. The UAV was operated by the soldiers of the 27th Brigade of the National Guard.

Although the explosions look spectacular, it would be too early to say the vehicle was destroyed or irreversibly damaged. Still, the hits are enough to "add to the statistics of enemy losses," claims the Ministry's press service.

The statistics, according to the Oryx OSINT community, say that russia lost already 25 T-90M tanks in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in February last year.

Just a few days ago, another T-90M was hit with a smart artillery munition, the video of the episode was shared by the 47th Mechanized Brigade. As such a tank is a valuable target, Ukrainian forces don't hesitate to use the state-of-art assets to take them out which proves effective.

Although as we can see, sometimes even a drone air raid is enough to disable this russian unit. Based on the thermal imagery being used as primary visual data source in the first video, we can carefully assume that the attack took place at night, when the target was staying in place which made bombing of a stationary target easier.

Realizing the threat posed by unmanned aerial vehicles armed with explosives, russians sometimes come up with the strangest engineering solutions, such as canopies stretched on metal framework over the tank or the already "traditional" wire mesh on top of their equipment.
