On the night of August 16, explosions were heard across the Moscow region, and air defense activity was detected, followed by at least three large-scale fires. Wildberries warehouses in Koledino and the Northern Domodedovo Production and Logistics Park caught fire. Footage from the scene shows thick plumes of smoke rising from several warehouse sites across the region at the same time.
The russian publication Astra reported a fire at Wildberries' largest warehouse. According to Astra, the fire broke out at the company's logistics hub in the Moscow region.

The hub covers more than 200,000 square meters and, according to Astra, is Wildberries' largest warehouse. It is noted that this is not the first fire at a logistics facility in Koledino. On July 28, the Koledino 3PL logistics hub caught fire near this warehouse following a drone attack.
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said that russian air defense forces had allegedly shot down 105 drones flying toward the capital. However, as noted by russian media, the authorities are choosing not to disclose the specific consequences and extent of the damage caused by falling debris.
Attacks on Wildberries' logistics facilities have been ongoing for the past several months and have now become systematic. According to Reuters, at least 20 of the company's logistics centers have been targeted by Ukrainian drones, and some of the facilities have been completely destroyed by fire. In total, the marketplace has lost approximately 1.18 million square meters of warehouse space.
The attacks are already having an impact on the company's operations and the russian economy. Amid reduced logistics capacity and a wave of sellers leaving the platform, Wildberries' revenue has reportedly fallen by about a quarter. Citing a source close to the Kremlin, the agency also reported that russia could see a wave of bankruptcies among entrepreneurs who sold goods on the marketplace and lost their inventory in attacks on its logistics hubs.
