Ukraine’s minister of strategic industries meets with military attaches of foreign countries

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleh Uruskyi has held a meeting with military attaches of foreign countries.

"On March 10, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleh Uruskyi met with members of the Kyiv Association of Military Attaches (KAVA), which unites the offices of military attachés accredited in Ukraine," the press service of the Ministry of Strategic Industries reported.

Military attachés from 31 countries of the world took part in the meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Strategic Industries. Uruskyi spoke about the main functions and tasks of the ministry, the results of the work and the priority areas of activity in the national security and defense sector.

"Military and technical cooperation with foreign partners is a priority of the Ministry of Strategic Industry, and we are open to its deepening on a mutually beneficial basis. The Ministry has already organized and held bilateral meetings with representatives of diplomatic missions and other government agencies from more than 20 countries. A meaningful dialogue has been established with some of them, as a result of which bilateral international documents have been signed,” he said.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister also answered the questions of the military attaches about the activities of the Ministry of Strategic Industry. Uruskyi said that the Ministry expects to complete the process of implementation of the Law of Ukraine "On Defense Procurement" in March 2021.

"This year's state defense order must be fulfilled in line with the new legislation, which complies with international norms," the official stressed.

The event took place with the support of the Department of International Defense Cooperation of the Defense Ministry at the Central House of Officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
