Marines of The 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynsky have destroyed a Russian rear supply point in the Donetsk region

That is according to a statement on the official page of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

“The air reconnaissance units discovered a storage, where the invading terrorists kept material and technical means. With an accurate shot from the Rapira anti-tank gun, the anti-tankers of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi hit the target,” the report states.

MT-12 Rapira or 2A29 is a Soviet smoothbore 100-mm anti-tank gun, which served as the primary towed anti-tank artillery in the Soviet army from the early 1970s to the late 1980s. It is in significant use in the Russo-Ukrainian War (2014-present).

The 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynsky was formed in 2015 on the basis of units withdrawn from the occupied Crimea – 1st and 501st Marine Battalion, which were previously part of Ukrainian 36th Coast Guard Brigade. The brigade participated in the Donbas war since its formation, primarily in Mariupol direction. In February 2022, when Russia invaded Ukraine, the majority of the brigade was located in Mariupol.
