This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to an informed source in Ukrainian intelligence.
As noted, an explosive was installed inside the goggles, which were handed over to the FPV drone pilots by russian volunteers.

According to those involved in the operation, a large batch of FPV goggles for drone pilots of the russian armed forces was purchased to carry out the task.
Ukrainian intelligence specialists additionally equipped them with a remote detonation function. After that, in coordination with representatives of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, russian volunteers sent “explosive” glasses free of charge, as a charitable aid, to the UAV units of the enemy army.
“Now, “God’s punishment” has begun to fall en masse on the pilots of FPV drones of the russian armed forces, for the innocent people they killed and the atrocities they commit. Over time, there will be much more such facts, because now “Bandera hideouts” where glasses with a surprise are made for the russian occupiers are no longer only in the Ukrainian Carpathians, but also in russian Siberia,” says the Ukrinform’s interlocutor.
The interlocutor added that this special operation is a punishment for war crimes committed by russian criminals against Ukraine, and it is ongoing.
