In a series of precision strikes, Ukraine's Defense Forces hit major elements of russia's fuel sector and drone production sites, including the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat refinery and Valuyki UAV plant, disrupting Moscow's supply chains and weakening its capabilities

Ukrainian Armed Forces have struck critical elements of russia's fuel sector in Volgograd Oblast, Bashkortostan, and drone production facilities in Belgorod Oblast, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

To reduce the russian army's offensive capabilities and disrupt fuel supplies to occupying forces, Ukraine's Defense Forces targeted the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat oil refinery in Bashkortostan on the night of 24 September.

Preliminary information indicates that the ELU-AVT-6 primary oil processing unit was hit. A fire continues to burn at the plant.

This refinery processed up to 10 million tons of crude oil annually and is a key producer of liquid rocket fuel in russia.

Ukrainian forces also struck critical targets in Volgograd Oblast, which are involved in supplying the russian occupation army.

The attack affected the Kuzmichi-1 pumping station, part of the crude oil transport system to southern regions of russia. Additionally, the Zenzeyvatka pumping station was hit, which transports oil via the Kuybyshev–Tikhoretsk main pipeline.

Furthermore, last night, to disrupt UAV production and reduce the combat capabilities of russian forces, Ukrainian units struck a drone production facility in the town of Valuyki, Belgorod Oblast. The strike caused a fire at the site, and the impact has been documented.

Assessment of the results and the extent of damage is ongoing.

Ukraine also confirmed the successful execution of a previous mission.

On 22 September, Ukraine's long-range strike assets hit the Astrakhan Gas Processing Plant (Aksaraysky settlement, Astrakhan Oblast, russia) — a facility with an annual capacity of 12 billion cubic meters of gas. Sections of the plant were damaged, causing a partial shutdown of production processes.

The Astrakhan GPP is one of the world's largest gas-chemical plant and russia's primary sulfur producer for explosives, supplying up to 66% of domestic output. Annual processing of petroleum products at the facility reaches up to 3.2 million tons.

As a result of the strike, motor fuel production at the plant has also been suspended. The St. Petersburg Commodity Exchange has halted wholesale trading of fuel from the Astrakhan GPP since Monday.
