Combat-tested models draw interest from all around the world, bringing Ukraine not only potential customers but prospective partners as well

Ukrainian defense manufacturers presented their weapons and systems at IDEF-2025 expo, held on July 22 to 27 in Istanbul, Türkiye. Among them, the National Association of Ukrainian Defense Industries (NAUDI) presented products from 18 companies within a single large-scale national exposition, the association reported on socials.

Among the technologies on display were electronic warfare solutions, drones, armored equipment, mounted turrets, and communications. Demining and medical tools were also present.

NAUDI says many attendees were drawn to their exposition, with military officials, government executives, and industry delegates from companies around the globe among them.

More specifically, visitors from Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Latvia, Romania, Moldova, countries from the Middle East, North Africa and Europe. This speaks of a significant success of Ukrainian products, NAUDI noted.

Most interesting to the foreign representatives were products that have been tested and proven in real combat, on the frontlines of the war against russia. The practical experience is far more valuable than spec sheets and promises, after all.

In that regard, Ukrainian defense industry in particular holds an undisputed advantage over many rivals in the market, NAUDI assures. On that note Defense Express reminds that some foreign companies even started to bring their prototypes for tests in Ukraine — that is how much the live feedback is valued nowadays in a highly competitive environment.

Important to add, the NAUDI booth wasn't the only one from Ukraine at the event. For instance, UkrArmoTech unveiled UAT.TISA and UAT.GYURZA-02 armored vehicles at IDEF. State defense export agency Spetstechnoexport also had its own presentation, showcasing Ukraine's achievements in the production of artillery shells.

Generally, Defense Express highlights, Ukrainian manufacturers remain relevant and keep gathering an interested crowd. Although the martial law currently prohibits any military exports, if the lobby manages to press the matter and open the gates, the companies may find customers pretty quickly upon re-entering the market.

Another factor necessary to mention is the fact that IDEF-2025 became a platform for meetings with potential business partners and investors. It simplifies Ukraine's search of new suppliers, establishing joint ventures, and integrating into international supply chains.
