Ukrainian forces have released footage of fiber-optic FPV drone attacks on russian personnel, artillery, motorcycles, vehicles, and armored equipment, including a tank

Ukrainian forces have released a new compilation of strikes using fiber-optic FPV drones, showing attacks on russian infantry, artillery pieces, motorcycles, vehicles, and a tank.

The footage features a variety of targets engaged under different conditions, demonstrating the use of fiber-optic drones against both personnel and military equipment.

Among the targets are russian infantry, artillery systems, and motorcycles, as well as cars and armored vehicles. The compilation also includes a strike on russian tank, highlighting the range of targets pursued by Ukrainian drone operators.

Unlike conventional radio-controlled FPV drones, fiber-optic UAVs transmit control signals and video through a physical fiber-optic cable.

This makes them resistant to conventional radio-frequency electronic warfare jamming, one of the main countermeasures used against battlefield drones.

The technology does not make these drones invulnerable, however. Their effectiveness still depends on factors such as operator visibility, the flight path, and the physical limitations of the cable.
