New agreement establishes a joint flotilla for regional safety

On January 16, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer signed a centennial agreement. The agreement, which introduces the concept of a joint flotilla, aims to enhance maritime security in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.

Andriy Yermak, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, highlighted the significance of the deal.

“We agreed on cooperation to ensure the safety of navigation. The joint flotilla can be utilized if necessary, creating not just cooperation but a real alliance,” he stated.
