UK Typhoon and F-35 jets continued to conduct defensive sorties across the Middle East region, operating alongside allies and partners in defence of the Sovereign Base Areas, Jordan, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, according to UK Defense Intelligence.
On March 10, the HMS Dragon ship departed Portsmouth and is now headed for the Eastern Mediterranean. The Type 45 Destroyer will use its Sea Viper missile system to help safeguard UK assets and interests, assisted by the Merlin and Wildcat helicopters.

As Defense Express previously reported, the UK reported that a ground-based counter-drone unit intercepted a UAV heading toward Coalition forces while RAF aircraft continued defensive patrols and the landing ship RFA Lyme Bay ship was placed on heightened readiness.
