Russians have left behind dozens of weapons while fleeing northern regions of Ukraine after the unsuccessful offensive from the north

Ukrainian servicemen and law enforcers have found another covert storage of russian ammunition and weapons containing grenade launchers and rounds to them, small arms ammunition etc.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reports that the temporary arms depot was uncovered in the Chernihiv region, one of the directions of russia’s initial attack during the first stage of invasion.

The depot locating less than 40 km from the border with belarus, had RPG-26 anti-tank grenade launchers, RPG-7V rounds, F-1 anti-personnel grenade and at least 600 smal arms ammunition of various caliber.

The markings on the boxes say the goods belonged to the 35th separate guards motor rifle brigade of the russian armed forces, now these warstocks will help Ukrainian units fight back.

As a reminder, russians invaded the Chernihiv region through the territory of belarus in February but got stuck due to logistics and couldn’t advance further and surround the major city of Chernihiv. It was three months ago, in early April, when Ukrainian forces pushed them out from Ukraine’s soil.

Even after this long, Ukrainian border guards still find traces of russian presence. The other week they also found a hard drive with lots of personal and military data belonging to a russian air defense unit.
