The Minister of Defense of Estonia Hanno Pevkur states that the Western allies are planning to give Ukraine 100 billion euro of military and related assistance in 2023 before the meeting of NATO Ministers of Defense in Brussels.
“We try to help Ukraine with approximately 100 billion this year all together. This should be our aim, because at the moment it’s less. But when we take Estonian share, this is only 1/5 from our GDP. Because Estonia has helped approximately 400 millions, which is 1% of our GDP,” the Minister of Defense of Estonia Hanno Pevkur said.

He added, “When we take all Ukraine Contact Group countries, common GDP is approximately 50 trillions, maybe even more. And when we take 1% of that, this could be 500 billions. So we are talking about even 1/5 of that. So we try to push all the other countries to increase it to 100 billion this year”.
Moreover, Hanno Pevkur claims that the allies have to go to the joint acquisition of ammunition and buy at least 1 million rounds for Ukraine.
