On the night on Tuesday, October 24, Ukraine’s air defense units destroyed all six kamikaze drones of the Shahed type, which the occupiers launched from Cape Chauda in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Such data is provided by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
For the third day in a row, the enemy is attacking Ukraine with "flying mopeds", as Ukrainians call these annoying kamikaze drones because of the similarity of the sound of their engines.

It is worth noting that in the second half of October, the enemy significantly reduced the use of these weapons for terrorist attacks on populated areas of Ukraine.
In particular, if from October 1 to 12 the enemy used 199 Shahed-type UAVs for attacks, then from October 13 to 24 - in fact four times less, namely 49 units.
The enemy is likely stockpiling its Shahed kamikaze drones after the occupiers launched a record number of these attack drones over Ukraine in September of this year – more than 500 units. At the same time, Ukraine achieved a record number of Shahed Drones takedowns in September.
It is also not excluded that in this way the occupiers will feel the air defense of Ukraine in order to plan further attacks in view of the geography and statistics of the elimination of these attack drones by the Air Defense forces of Ukraine.
In particular, on the night of October 24, six enemy UAVs were destroyed at once within three regions - Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, and Mykolayiv. On the night of October 23, 13 "shaheeds" were directed to the southern, eastern and central regions of Ukraine, etc.
By the way, during the attack on October 23, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down kamikaze drones of the Shahed type, in particular, with such weapons as the HAWK air defense system - this was the first time that the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed the operation of this air defense system.
