What is known about this attack and why russian occupiers complain that it was allegedly German Taurus cruise missiles

The Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force Mykola Oleshchuk reported that on April 13, 2024, aviation launched a missile attack on the command post of the russian grouping. It was located in the temporarily occupied Luhansk. It is emphasized that the strike was "successful, and most importantly, effective," and that the Ukrainian pilots did a great job and returned to base.

Oleshchuk also emphasized that if the Defense Forces of Ukraine have more western long-range missiles at their disposal, there will be even more such attacks on russian occupiers` targets.

It should be noted that after the attack on the temporarily occupied Luhansk, russian Telegram channels spread rumors that Taurus missiles were allegedly used in the attack. The occupiers made this assumption because they said they had never seen such powerful explosions. Although, all of this remains only assumption, since Germany has not transferred such missiles to Ukraine yet.

In addition, russians claim that this grouping fought for the city of Avdiivka and continues to fight in Avdiivka sector. Based on this, it can be estimated that a missile strike on April 13, 2024, on the temporarily occupied Luhansk will definitely reduce the level of controllability of russian troops. The Defense Forces of Ukraine are currently fighting against them in Avdiivka sector.

Speaking about velocity of additional data on the results of the April 13, 2024 strike on the temporarily occupied Luhansk may appear, it is worth recalling the following example. On March 24, 2024, the Defense Forces of Ukraine launched a missile attack on infrastructure of russian Black Sea Fleet in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol, including the main communications center, the first images from the site of the attack as well as satellite images appeared literally within a day.

However, the list of russian personnel who may have suffered as a result of this strike is still not publicly available.

Earlier Defense Express reported that destruction of russian Novocherkassk ship had blocked one of logistic channels to Crimea.
