"For us, there's nothing new. A 155-mm shell doesn't discriminate between a marine and a convict from Wagner. It kills them more or less the same. Yes, they are contract servicemen and may have better training. However, considering that this war has been ongoing for 11 years, we cannot say that it will be a surprise for us," the spokesperson noted.

He also pointed out that the redeployment of units from the Pacific Fleet and other divisions makes russia vulnerable in the places from which they are being withdrawn.

"It can already be said that these are the geopolitical consequences of the invasion into Ukraine for the russian federation. It is still unclear how they will end for them," Pletenchuk added.

Earlier, Defense Express reported that the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine revealed russia's deployment of personnel from the russian Pacific Fleet to the war in Ukraine. Specifically, around 2,000 russian servicemen from the Primorsky and Kamchatka regions of the russian federation are involved. Additionally, approximately 400 soldiers from the 11th Air Force and Air Defense Army are slated for deployment to the war.
