​The Armed Forces of Ukraine Destroy 92 Targets: 55 Shahed Drones and 37 Missiles

151 aerial assets targeted infrastructure, over 60% neutralized by Ukrainian response

During the night of March 22, 2024, a coordinated air attack was carried out by the russians targeting crucial infrastructure sites in Ukraine.

A total of 151 aerial assets were deployed:

  • 63 UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type (launched from Primorsko-Akhtarsk, russian federation);
  • 12 Iskander-M ballistic missiles (originating from Belgorod region, russia, and the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea);
  • 40 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles (launched from thirteen Tu-95MS strategic bombers in the Caspian Sea);
  • 5 Kh-22 cruise missiles (deployed from five Tu-22M3 bombers in Rostov region, russia);
  • 7 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal missiles (launched from ten MiG-31K aircraft in Tambov region, russia);
  • 2 Kh-59 missiles (launched from two Su-30 (Su-34) aircraft in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region);
  • 22 S-300/S-400 guided anti-aircraft missiles (located in Belgorod and Kursk regions, russia).

The Armed Forces of Ukraine responded by deploying anti-aircraft missile units from the Air Force and Ground Forces, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare systems to counter the air attack.

In the air battle, 92 enemy air assets were neutralized:

  • 55 Shahed-136/131 UAVs;
  • 35 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles;
  • 2 Kh-59 missiles.
