During recent exercises at the 199th Air Assault Training Center, military personnel conducted parachute jumps from the An-26 transport aircraft using the T-11 parachute system. This demonstration highlights the effectiveness of modern airborne insertion techniques and the critical role of precision, endurance, and coordination in military operations.
The T-11 parachute system, designed for static-line deployment, offers significant advantages over its predecessor, the T-10 unit. With an improved canopy design, it provides greater stability during descent, reducing oscillation and minimizing landing injuries. The system supports a maximum jump weight of up to 181 kg, allowing paratroopers to carry full combat gear. Additionally, reduced descent rate of 5.5 meters per second enhances safety, ensuring effective landings even in challenging environments. The T-11 unit is equipped with the T-11R reserve parachute, which provides essential backup in the event of malfunction, reinforcing the reliability of airborne operations.

Known for its reliability and adaptability, the An-26 tactical transport aircraft is capable of carrying up to 40 fully equipped paratroopers and executing rapid airborne insertions. With a maximum takeoff weight of 24,000 kg and a cruise speed of 440 km/h, it enables swift deployment into operational zones. Its ability to operate from short and unpaved runways makes it a versatile asset for air assault operations, providing Ukrainian forces with the capability to conduct strategic airborne insertions and rapid response missions.
At the 199th Air Assault Training Center, Ukrainian paratroopers undergo rigorous preparation, ensuring they are equipped with the skills necessary for complex airborne operations. Training includes static-line jumps, rapid assembly after landing, and combat readiness drills that simulate real battlefield conditions. Ukrainian soldiers are trained to operate efficiently with full combat loads, reinforcing their ability to execute missions with precision and speed.
