During January 2026, the Prymary (stands for Ghosts in Ukrainian) special unit of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine carried out a series of operations aimed at destroying enemy air defense as well as radar surveillance equipment.
This was reported by the press office of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence.

According to the report, the attacks were carried out along the entire line of combat contact in conditions of low temperatures.
As a result of the strikes, the intelligence officers hit the Pantsir-S1 self-propelled medium-range surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery system. This system is designed for close cover of military and strategic objects from air attack.
The next target was the Tor-M1 SAM system. The system's task is to protect facilities from attacks by cruise missiles, UAVs and aircraft.
The more modern Tor-M2 SAM system, along with the transport-loading vehicle (TLV or ТЗМ in russian - presumably 9T244), was also hit by fire. The Tor-M2 modification has expanded capabilities for simultaneous shelling of air targets and an increased ammunition load сcompared to Tor-M1. The destruction of the TVM makes it impossible to reload the launcher in the future.

The TLV is an integral part of the Tor-type SAM system, designed for transportation, storage and rapid reloading of combat vehicle with missiles. It ensures the autonomy of the system, allowing for rapid replenishment of ammunition in the field, which is important for continuous protection of facilities.
In addition to the enemy meanse of air defense fire, the the Prymary unit disabled the RLM-ME radar system, which is part of the Nebo-M integrated multi-functional radar system. This radar is responsible for detecting targets at low altitudes.

The Protyvnik-GE mobile 3D L-band surveillance radar was also hit by the Prymary special unit of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This radar provides detection and tracking of aerial objects, providing target coordinates for anti-aircraft missile artillery battalions as well as fighter aircraft.
The press office of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence shared corresponding video on how the Prymary unite made the score.
As Defense Express reported, earlier Ukraine's Prymary unit tracked down and destroyed two costly russian radars in Crimea. We also wrote on did the Prymary unit really destroy a Belarusian Polonez MRL system.
