Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this in a post on Telegram.
"The enemy has no strategic successes on the Kupiansk front. The goal of the russians is clear – they want to occupy the city again," the Commander said.

Syrskyi noted that Ukraine's defense forces provide worthy resistance to the enemy and thwart his attempts to advance.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that in the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinities of settlements of Syn’kivka, Ivanivka (Kharkiv oblast), and Nadiya (Luhansk oblast), where Ukrainian defenders repelled 10x attacks of the adversary.
Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi also noted the excellent work of the fighters of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great.
The Commander published a video of Ukrainian defenders destroying russian vehicles on his Telegram channel.
Ukrainian defenders destroyed a russian tank along the Kupiansk direction and damaged three more. In addition, fighters destroyed two BMPs and damaged four more.
