Videos capture potential relocation of aircraft at the Kushchyovskaya air base following the attack

During the recent drone attack, not only did the oil refineries in the Krasnodar region suffer damage, but also the Kushchyovskaya military airfield was targeted.

Videos circulating online depict the aftermath, showcasing the destruction of a warehouse housing the UMPK kits, which convert conventional bombs into guided ones. Additionally, the footage reveals damage to the air traffic control building caused by the strike. Geolocation confirmation is feasible based on the visuals. Furthermore, the videos confirm the presence of Su-34 aircraft at the airbase.

Satellite imagery from the ESA’s Sentinel satellite, albeit low-resolution and dated April 9, reveals at least five aircraft parked near the UMPK kits warehouse. Recent optical images are unavailable due to cloud cover, but SAR radar imagery confirms the presence of aircraft at the same airfield. While it remains unclear if any aircraft were directly hit, the videos capture the sound of jet engines, hinting at potential aircraft relocation.

The Kushchyovskaya air base, designated as the 195th training and instruction airbase, hosts the Su-27 aircraft and potentially operational MiG-29 and L-39 aircraft as well.
