As a result of the combined efforts of the Air Force in coordination with the Air Defense Forces, 36 cruise missiles were successfully intercepted and destroyed

During the night of September 21, 2023, at approximately 3:40 am, russian forces carried out a missile attack on Ukraine using X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles. A total of 43 cruise missiles were launched, originating from 10 Tu-95MS strategic aviation aircraft positioned to the west of Engels.

These missiles were fired in multiple waves, entering Ukrainian airspace from various directions, continually altering their flight paths.

As a result of the combined efforts of the Air Force in coordination with the Air Defense Forces, 36 cruise missiles were successfully intercepted and destroyed. To repel the attack, anti-aircraft missile troops, fighter aircraft, Air Force units, mobile fire groups and other means were deployed.

Additionally, at around 6:00 am, the enemy launched S-300 surface-to-air guided missiles at Kharkiv. Relevant services are working on the situation, and the local military administration will report on the consequences.
