The Land Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that on the right bank of the Dnipro river, the Ukrainian defenders had pushed the enemy 70 km away from the city.
"We have completely ruined enemy plans. As of today the enemy advance has been brought to a halt on the right bank of the Dnipro river and the liberated area of the outskirts was extended to 70 km, rendering it impossible for the enemy to shell the city, with the exception of missiles", - claimed the brigadier general Oleksander Hryzevych, the Chief of Staff of the Land Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

In regards to the situation on the other bank of the Dnipro river, the general says that the enemy forces did have some success in moving forward, but were deterred and pushed back shortly after. In this situation the enemy has resorted to a different tactic - shelling the infrastructure.
General Hryzevych also said that every town around Kyiv is turning into a defense strongpoint.
"We have established two lines of defense, bringing the enemy to a halt and rendering their advance efforts unsuccessful. Along certain avenues of approach, mainly Brovary and Boryspil, the enemy forces have decided to refrain from any active offensive operations", - said Hryzevych.
