On Friday, April 25, another russian general, Yaroslav Moskalik, was successfully eliminated in the city of Balashikha near Moscow.
According to the published video, the explosive device was planted in a car parked near the entrance to his building. There is information that as of 2021–2022, Yaroslav Moskalik appears in official reports of the russian Ministry of Defense as the Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the russian Armed Forces. The same information about his position also appears in russian media outlets.
Thus, the eliminated russian general was a figure of exceptionally high status, as the Main Operational Directorate plays a central role in the entire structure of the General Staff. This department is responsible for developing strategic and operational plans for the armed forces and managing their execution. In other words, it’s where the future paths of combat operations for entire armies and fronts are mapped out.
This operation echoes the liquidation of General Igor Kirillov, head of the Radiological, Chemical and Biological Defense Troops of the russian Armed Forces, on December 17, 2024. Then, an explosive device was planted in an electric scooter, which was also parked near the entrance.
In both cases, carefully planned operations led to success with no additional casualties among russian civilians.
Earlier, Defense Express reported that Moscow's May 9 parade would include Shahed drones on KamAZ and T-34-85 on carriages.
