This was reported on television by Colonel Vadym Mysnyk, the spokesperson for the Siversk Operational and Tactical Group of Troops, as cited by Ukrinform.
"The enemy continues shelling the Sumy and Chernihiv regions with consistent intensity. While the overall volume of attacks remains unchanged, there are shifts in the types of weapons used. The adversary primarily employs 120- and 80-mm mortars due to their mobility and ability to be concealed near the border. We prevent them from using larger-caliber artillery. Additionally, they utilize long-range weapons such as MLRS and aviation components, primarily FPV drones," Colonel Mysnyk stated.

Mysnyk also highlighted that the enemy is adapting its tactics, particularly in the deployment of UAVs, which penetrate deep into areas controlled by the Siversk OTG.
"Every day, we intercept enemy attack drones launched from the Kursk and Bryansk regions. Over the past day alone, 14 UAVs were shot down within our group's area of responsibility. We are bolstering our air defense capabilities, implementing a multi-layered defense system across various frontiers. Despite this, the enemy is adjusting attack routes and employing technical and tactical innovations to infiltrate Ukrainian airspace," Mysnyk noted.
