​Next Offline Ramstein Meeting on Ukraine Military Support Scheduled

Ministers from over 50 countries of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group are to meet again to discuss the progress of military assistance and agree on further steps

The next in-person meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the "Ramstein-5" format is scheduled for September 8, 2022, as reported by the U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa in a press release.

"Secretary [of the U.S. Department of Defense Lloyd] Austin has again invited Ministers of Defense and senior military officials from around the world to discuss the ongoing crisis in Ukraine and various security issues facing U.S. allies and partners," reads the statement.

As a reminder, the details of the previous "Ramstein-4" meeting held online were not announced explicitly.

"In accordance with the agreement with my colleagues, we keep intrigue about the lion’s share of the ongoing and new assistance packages, which includes the supplies of weapons, equipment, training of our troops and much more," commented on that Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov, citation by Ukrainska Pravda.

"First, the enemy will feel all that on the battlefield. A positive signal of the meeting was the new commitments from our partners. These include the ground, the sea and the air altogether."
