Two more temporary warehouses with weapons and ammunition were found by Ukrainian border guards in Northern Ukraine, liberated from russian occupation back in April

The findings were made public by the Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Apparently, russian forces managed to create a lot of such vaults during the initial stage of the invasion in February – March 2022, as long as these placeskeep being eventually found by Ukrainian services.

Both new storages were located in the Chernihiv region which borders with the russian federation and the republic of belarus. The first hideaway was just 10 km from the border with russia.

A "Fagot" anti-tank missile was hidden there inside the wall, as well as three 120mm mortar shells and a loaded magazine to the AGS-17 mounted grenade launcher.

The second storage was closer to belarus, 30 km away from the border and almost on the outskirts of Chernihiv; with 1,200 ammos to small and heavy arms of 7.62, 12.7 calibers and 30 rounds of pretty rare 20 mm caliber.

Update: apparently, the rounds are actually of 30mm caliber which is common to the Soviet and russian weaponry, the "2A42" marking on the box below indicates that it likely contains the ammunition for the "Shipunov" 2A42 30mm gun. Such a container usually accommodates up to 18 rounds inside.

The ammunition is being checked if it's still usable. Those in good condition will go to service Ukrainian Armed Forces against its previous owners.

And since the withdrawal of russian troops from northern regions this spring was in such a haste that they abandoned their supplies, there might be still more to discover in the future.
