Intense Combat Actions Reported on the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk Fronts – Ukraine's General Staff

The most intense fighting occurred on the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk fronts on September 18

The russian invaders launched a single missile strike, conducted 59 airstrikes, and dropped 79 guided aerial bombs on Ukrainian territory over the past day. Additionally, they used 532 kamikaze drones and carried out nearly 3,300 instances of shelling on Ukrainian forces' positions and civilian areas.

Ukraine's General Staff reports that, on the Kharkiv front, the russians, with air support, are attempting to assault Ukrainian positions near the city of Vovchansk.

On the Kurakhove front over the past day, the russians attacked Ukrainian positions 40 times near the settlements of Tsukuryne, Ukrainsk, Heorhiivka, Dalnie, and Kostiantynivka.

On the Pokrovsk front, the russians, supported by aircraft, made 39 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders back from their positions.

On the Siversk and Lyman fronts, russian troops continue to probe for weak spots in Ukrainian defenses, with a total of 11 combat clashes recorded.

On the Toretsk front, the russians attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses near the settlements of Dachne, Shcherbynivka, Nelipivka, and New-York seven times. They also targeted Shcherbynivka and Ivanopil with guided aerial bombs on two occasions.

On the Huliaipole front, russian aircraft launched attacks with unguided aerial missiles on the settlements of Piatykhatky and Zherebianky.

The operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in russia’s Kursk Oblast is ongoing. russian aircraft continue to target russian villages and towns. Since the beginning of September 18, russian aviation has dropped 16 guided aerial bombs on russian territory.
