According to a comment from Oleksii Dmytrashkivskyi, a representative of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Command and spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, made to AFP.
In the Kursk region, russian troops attempted to flank Ukrainian positions, but their efforts were stopped. Dmytrashkivskyi noted that while the situation has stabilized and is currently under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the enemy has achieved some partial success.

"The russians entered one of the settlements. They began fighting for another settlement, but that was the extent of it," he stated.
Dmytrashkivskyi also mentioned that a significant number of civilians remain in the area of the Kursk region controlled by Ukraine.
"In some settlements there are more than 100 people, more than 200, more than 500," he said.
