This was announced by the German Federal Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius during his visit to Washington.
He said that the Himars multiple launch rocket systems will arrive from the US Armed Forces stockpile and Germany will pay for them.

"In cooperation with Americans, we will purchase three Himars launcers for Ukraine. They will come from the US armed forces and will be paid for by us," Pistorius told.
At the same time, the Federal Minister of Defense emphasized the importance of the North Atlantic Alliance's support for Ukraine, as Putin's success will unleash autocrats around the world.
