Germany has announced a new package of military aid to support Ukraine with approximately 2.7 billion euros in the coming weeks and months, Andrii Yermak, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, reported.

  • 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles;
  • 30 Leopard tanks;
  • 4 IRIS-T-SLM SAM systems (12 launchers and hundreds of missiles);
  • 200 reconnaissance drones;
  • 100 armored vehicles;
  • 100 logistical support vehicles;
  • 15 Gepard anti-aircraft guns;
  • a large quantity of ammunition.

It is the largest package of weapons that Germany has provided to strengthen the Armed Forces Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in February 2022.

The new arms supply from the German government focuses on two directions. On the one hand, the Ukrainian Ground Forces are to be reinforced with armored personnel carriers and main battle tanks. In addition, Germany aims to significantly modernize Ukraine's air defense capabilities.
