russia is attacking Ukraine with ballistic missiles manufactured in late 2025 and early 2026. This was reported by Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, adviser to Ukraine's Minister of Defense, on his Telegram channel on Tuesday, February 24.
Beskrestnov noted that only Patriot air defense systems can shoot down russian ballistic missiles. According to him, several missiles may be needed to intercept a single target, which is a huge problem for Ukraine. In a long-term war of attrition, russian military production must be countered with a comprehensive approach.

"All the ballistic missiles targeting us were manufactured in late 2025 and early 2026, meaning we are being attacked with weapons straight from the factory. Iskander missiles are made up of about 90% russian components, and around 60 units are manufactured each month. There are also C300/400 missiles. Can we expect a steady, long-term supply of anti-ballistic missiles? Probably not. Global military resources are not unlimited," Beskrestnov emphasized.
He believes Ukraine must participate in developing anti-ballistic systems, both domestically and jointly with other nations, while protecting all critical military and civilian infrastructure.

"All thermal power plants and 750 kV substations must withstand missile strikes," Beskrestnov stated.
russia's ability to rapidly produce ballistic missiles on an industrial scale has become a serious problem, given the significant gap compared to the production of U.S. Patriot interceptor missiles. In light of the shortage of such assets, granting Ukraine a license to produce these missiles could provide a viable solution.
Earlier Defense Express reported that IRIS-T maker had upgraded KDV counter-drone system supplied to Ukraine.
