A series of precision drone strikes have reportedly hit a military compound belonging to russia's National Guard Akhmat-North formation in the Baysangur district of Grozny, Chechnya. The incident, first reported by Exilenova+ Telegram channel on November 27, has highlighted yet another breach of security far from the front lines of russia's war against Ukraine.
According to preliminary assessments, the strike targeted the 65384 military unit, believed to be home to the 291st Guards Motor Rifle Regiment. While official russian sources have not confirmed the attack, multiple channels and monitoring organizations have provided corroborating details, pointing to visible structural damage and a fire within the base.

NIYSO reported that the impacted building sits inside a fortified military compound in the Baysangurov district. The group indicated that this was not an isolated event, noting additional strikes against military facilities in Chechnya's Shatoysky district.

Further confirmation came from Astra, which reported that part of the roof of a service building had collapsed following the explosion. They also noted that one of the support structures at the compound caught fire, with imagery and eyewitness accounts indicating a localized but significant level of destruction.
Astra added that the impacted building stood out among the others in the facility. Unlike the elongated barracks and warehouses typical of russian military layouts, this structure was centrally positioned and architecturally distinct, indicating that it may have served a specialized administrative or operational purpose.
The exact function of the destroyed building remains unknown. Exilenova+ suggested that its location at the heart of the base could point to its importance, though analysts are still determining whether it housed personnel, equipment, or command functions. Russian authorities have remained silent on the matter, a pattern consistent with previous strikes on sensitive military infrastructure.
