In April 2022, one of the defense aid packages from Canada included the transfer of Senator armored personnel carriers from Roshel Canadian manufacturer. At the same time, the delivery of eight armored vehicles was announced for the first time.
However, the pace of delivery of Senator armored vehicles to the Defense Forces of Ukraine was gaining momentum. As of today, it is known that the Ukrainian military has received at least 1,400 of these armored vehicles. The company's founder, Roman Shimonov told about this in a conversation with DefenseWebTV (Army Recognition).

The conversation with the founder of Roshel took place at the MSPO-2024 exhibition in Poland, where the company showed its new products: MRAP with a combat module for a KPVT machine gun, as well as an armored pickup truck equipped with a module for a 23-mm GSh-23 autocannon.
"We have over 1,400 vehicles that we deploy to Ukraine since the beginning of the war. The company is fully vertically integrated and we produce everything in-house starting from metal fabrication, cutting, engineering etc.," Shimonov stated in a conversation with a journalist. He emphasizes that this policy allows the company to meet the needs of customers in a very short time.
The head of Roshel mentions such a modern threat as FPV drones in the context of hundreds or thousands of times cheaper weapons destroying expensive armored vehicles. Therefore, the advantage of armored vehicles from this company is not only protection, but also high production rates.
"Today we produce nine vehicles a day, seven days a week," he said. Thus, the production rate of armored vehicles today is 63 vehicles per week, approximately 270 per month and 3,285 per year. It is likely that a significant number of produced vehicles will be supplied to Ukraine, although the company has other customers as well.
It should be recalled that in May of this year, Shimonov told about Roshel's plans to organize the production of their armored vehicles in Ukraine. It was noted that the final stage of planning for the localization of the production in Ukraine was underway. At the same time, there were several service centers for the company's vehicles in Ukraine at that time. As of today, the work is "at the final stage".
Earlier Defense Express reported that Ukrainian Forces had test the 2-CT Hawkeye and claimed it the world's most lightweight howitzer.
