Self-proclaimed belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that russia has completed its shipments of tactical nuclear weapons to his country.

This is reported by European Pravda with reference to Lukashenko's press service.

Alexander Lukashenko stated at a meeting of a Moscow-led economic bloc in St. Petersburg that the deliveries were completed in October. However, he did not share further details regarding the quantity of weapons sent and their specific deployment locations.

“I already said the delivery was completed. Back in September, maybe in October. The last batch arrived at the beginning of October. Everything is in its place in good condition,” Lukashenko disclosed.

Lukashenko justifies the deployment of russian nuclear weapons on Belarusian territory, stating that it is a means of supposedly deterring "aggression" by Poland, a NATO member. Certainly, this has caused concern in Poland and other countries in the region. belarus is separated from Poland, Latvia, and Lithuania by a 1250-kilometer border, all of which are NATO members.

In March this year, the russian president announced that he had consented to the placement of tactical nuclear weapons in belarus.
