The Baykar company continues the implementation of the plan to create a scientific and production center in Ukraine. Despite the invasion of the russian federation, the Turkish company not only did not abandon its plans, but also continues to implement them.
CEO of Baykar Haluk Bayraktar, who recently met with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, confirmed this in an exclusive comment to Defense Express. According to him, the total area of the Baykar center in Ukraine will be more than 30,000 square meters and the number of Ukrainian engineers and technicians who will work at the enterprise should exceed 300 people.

Also Defense Express received mock-ups of images of the future center, which will conduct not only the development, but also the production of drones.
At the same time, we are talking about the production of not only the Bayraktar TB2 UAV, for which many countries are already waiting in line, but also the Akıncı heavy UAV and the Kızılelma unmanned fighter, as well as other products of the Baykar company.
Thus, Baykar makes a rather powerful investment in Ukraine with faith not only in Victory, but also in the security of such an investment in the future. At the same time, the Baykar company will have the opportunity to involve Ukrainian specialists, both in the production of a new range of products and in the development of new samples.
It should be recalled that two drones from Baykar: Akıncı and Kızılelma use Ukrainian engines. We are talking about MC-500 and AI-450 for Akıncı, the choice of which depends on the client, who can choose either a more powerful or a more economical engine.
At the same time, Kızılelma, formerly known as MIUS, uses the Ukrainian AI-25 engine. This drone is already an unmanned fighter and can perform the entire range of tasks for defeating air and ground targets.
