Baykar Defense has completed the assembly of the second prototype of the MIUS jet unmanned aerial vehicle, which is to become the first unmanned fighter of its kind. This jet UAV has already become a participant in the TeknoFest exhibition in the Turkish city of Samsun, and is already ready for future flight tests. Baykar Makina technical director Selchuk Bayraktar wrote about this on his Twitter.

The main feature of the MIUS from Baykar Defense is known – two types of jet engines manufactured by the Ukrainian Motor Sich, AI-322F and AI-25TLT are planned to be used for the production of these UAVs, CEO of Baykar Haluk Bayraktar said in an interview with Defense Express. It is assumed that the basic version of MIUS will have a flight speed of about 800 km/h, a flight duration of up to 5 hours and a flight height of up to 12 km.

The combat load will be about 1 ton, and the MIUS will be able to perform the functions of destroying air targets, gaining air superiority and destroying enemy air defenses. It is also assumed that the MIUS will be part of the air group of the future Turkish TGG Anadolu aircraft carrier, and will be able to act as a "wingmate" in a pair with a manned fighter.
But the most important characteristics of the MIUS jet drone project remain unknown. In particular, its dimensions, flight range and radius of action, and how the ground maintenance of this promising unmanned fighter will take place.
