By the end of 2024, the Ukrainian Armor Design and Manufacturing Company more than tripled its production of Novator infantry mobility vehicles (IMVs) compared to 2023.
Moreover, the company fulfilled its contracts for the production and delivery of Novator IMVs for Ukraine’s defenders ahead of schedule, according to a press release by Ukrainian Armor.

According to CEO Vladyslav Belbas, 2024 was a successful year for their armored vehicle production efforts. At the start of the year, the company launched the Novator-2 into serial production. This platform has already been adapted into two specialized variants: a command-and-control vehicle and a medical evacuation vehicle.
Additionally, during the MSPO 2024 exhibition in Poland, Ukrainian Armor unveiled its latest IMV, the Varta-2, which is still undergoing testing.
The technical capabilities, reliability, and quality of the Novator armored vehicles have been consistently proven in combat, with plans to further develop it as a versatile platform for various applications.
Defense Express highlights that the tripling of Novator IMV production in 2024 and the early completion of contracts represent a significant milestone.
This achievement demonstrates the success of Ukraine’s defense industry in producing a critical segment of equipment for the Armed Forces—wheeled armored vehicles. It also reflects the accelerated pace of equipping the Armed Forces with such vehicles.
