The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine according to the available information reported that the work of the "Uralvagonzavod" corporation has been suspended due to a lack of supplies of foreign components.
It should be noted that "Uralvagonzavod" is the only Russian corporation that carries out serial assembly of tanks, both for the needs of the russian army and for export. Problems with components also caused failures in the current repair of armored vehicles of the russian army.

Despite attempts at import substitution, the real dependence of the Russian military-industrial complex on Western components is catastrophic.
In particular, the entire fire control system in modernized russian tanks is based on French thermal imagers, which were supplied in circumvention of sanctions since 2014, via Belarus. This was reported by the Polish Defense24.
Western sanctions will have a similar cascading effect on the entire military-industrial complex of russia. It is not only about the impossibility of weapons production, which appeared in the 2000s, but also about the impossibility of current repairs of previously manufactured equipment and weapons.
