The United States has prepared a new package of defense aid to Ukraine in the amount of 2 billion dollars, which should be officially announced today, February 24, on the anniversary of the beginning of the large-scale Russian attack on Ukraine

As noted, the entire package will be transferred under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) program, when weapons and military equipment are purchased directly from industry.\
According to preliminary information from CNN, this package of defense assistance will include:
- HIMARS rockets
- 155m artillery ammunition
- multiple types of drones (UAVS)
- Counter UAV equipment
- Mine clearing equipment
- Secure communications equipment
Also, as part of this package of defense assistance, funds will be allocated for the training of Ukrainian servicemen and maintenance of equipment.
It will be recalled that the previous package of defense aid from the US in the amount of 460 million was announced during the visit of US President Joe Biden to Ukraine. Among all, it contains special Bradley fire support vehicles, as well as four radars, thousands of anti-tank missiles and ammunition.
