On February 8, World Defense Show (WDS) 2026 has opened in Riyadh. This large-scale event covers all domains of defense — land, air, sea, space technologies and security — and showcases the latest developments in the industry.
This year, the organizers focus on the future of defense integration, advanced technologies, and the convergence of military and civilian defense capabilities.

At the exhibition, UKR ARMO TECH presents its latest developments. These include GYURZA-03, an MRAP-class pickup based on UAT’s flagship armored platform, featuring a protected cargo compartment designed for the transportation of ammunition, UAVs and the installation of light artillery systems, as well as DESNA, a multi-purpose tactical vehicle that combines the advantages of leading global designs and has been refined through real combat experience gained during modern warfare.
Both vehicles were developed by Ukrainian engineers in 2025 and have already successfully passed codification trials. Following their presentation in Riyadh, serial production will be launched.
Ukrainian defenders already have positive battlefield experience with UAT armored vehicles GYURZA-01 and GYURZA-02. Taking into account the needs and feedback of military personnel, UAT engineers developed the GYURZA-03 — a fully fledged armored pickup in which part of the troop compartment has been replaced with a protected cargo module.
The vehicle safely transports ammunition, reconnaissance UAVs and mortar systems, physically separated from the crew. Its modular architecture allows the platform to be configured for radiation reconnaissance vehicles, air defense systems, radar platforms and artillery systems. The maximum payload capacity has been increased to 3 tons while maintaining the vehicle’s overall dimensions.

GYURZA-03 provides STANAG 4569 Level 2 ballistic and Level 3a/3b mine protection. The vehicle features increased ground clearance of 450 mm, ensuring improved off-road mobility, the ability to ford water obstacles up to 1.2 m deep and overcome vertical obstacles up to 0.4 m high. It retains the proprietary chassis originally developed for GYURZA-02, delivering reliable operation and high maneuverability under demanding combat conditions.

Taking into account the demand for this class of vehicles both in Ukraine and on international markets, DESNA by UKR ARMO TECH is positioned as a balanced and competitive response to the needs of modern armed forces. The vehicle is built on a purpose-designed proprietary chassis, features 380 mm ground clearance and optimized dimensions that ensure strong off-road performance. During codification trials, DESNA impressed observers with its ability to traverse complex terrain, ford water obstacles up to 0.7 m deep and overcome vertical obstacles up to 0.3 m high.
DESNA features a modular design, allowing it to be used not only as a cargo vehicle but also as a platform for command-and-control or medical variants.

The key feature of the new UAT models is that they were developed with direct consideration of the realities of high-intensity frontline combat. These conditions impose extremely high requirements on military equipment. If a vehicle meets the needs of Ukrainian forces operating under real combat conditions, it is capable of competing with the best international solutions available today. The professional level of Ukrainian engineers and designers, including UAT’s R&D team, allows base platforms to be adapted to the specific requirements of armed forces in different regions of the world.
UKR ARMO TECH invites visitors to its stand at World Defense Show 2026, which will take place at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center from February 8 to 12, Hall 1 North, Stand H4-G6, where the capabilities and advantages of modern Ukrainian armored vehicles can be seen firsthand.
